Holy in Christ

Holy in Christ is a term used in Christian theology to describe the state of being set apart for God and made pure and righteous through faith in Jesus Christ. The concept is rooted in the idea of sanctification which is the process by which a believer in Christ is progressively transformed into the image of Christ and becomes more like him in their thoughts words and deeds. The Bible teaches that humans are fallen and sinful by nature and that they are incapable of saving themselves or earning their way into Gods favor. However through faith in Jesus Christ and his death and resurrection believers are justified and made holy in Gods sight. This process of sanctification is a lifelong journey as believers continually strive to grow in their relationship with God and become more like Christ.
