Homeopathy and the treatment of chemically-induced thrombocytopenia

Anticancer treatment despite its importance is only one part of the management of cancer which has several facets. It therefore requires a different approach comprising several therapeutic modalities which must be complementary to improve the patient's quality of life.The integration of a new specialty called oncological support care in the health systems of several countries is the result of this new approach.Homeopathic treatment is part of supportive oncology care and our study is part of this new approach.The results of our study showed the effectiveness of homeopathic treatment in correcting chemo-induced thrombocytopenia in a shorter time than the Control group.This introduction of homeopathy in the different services would be the first step towards a rigorously conducted study respecting the individualization of the remedy and validating or not the interest of homeopathy in support care from a clinical point of view.
