Homestay Tourism: Challenges Opportunities and Way forward

The main objective of this book is to understand the profile of the tourists stayed in homestays; the quality of service provided by the homestay operators. quality of homestay operations and the economic benefits to the operators. The facilities and service like bedroom TV Wi-Fi connection food transport and guides are provided by Indian homestay operators also taken in this study. The study highlights the reason for choosing homestay the opinion of tourists about the facilities in homestays opinion about the general image of the homestay and the quality of the homestay. From the homestay operators’ point of view the study highlights the profile of the homestay operators facilities in the homestays experience in homestay operations perception on social impact on homestay and income generated out of the homestay business. Based on the findings of the research few suggestions were made for the better improvement of the homestay operations in India as wells referred countries in Asia.
