Homesteading on the Peace River takes the reader along on the adventure of a lifetime. Two young friends from a Minnesota farming community hop trains and hitchhike to northern Alberta in 1929 chasing a dream to claim a homestead in the wilderness. Facing extremely cold winters the two build a cabin in the bush making friends along the way with similarly hardy settlers from all over the world. Despite the hardships of extreme cold and primitive living conditions the two pioneers create a life of unforgettable memories.
