He arrives in Athens and meets Theone who is a priestess of Asklepios. Paaker and Theone fall in love but their love is forbidden because they are from different cultures.Paaker eventually returns to Egypt but he is not happy there. He misses Theone and longs to be back in Greece. He eventually decides to return to Greece and be with Theone.Homo Sum is a story about love loss and redemption. It is also a story about the clash of two cultures. The novel is full of adventure romance and intrigue. It also provides a fascinating glimpse into ancient Egyptian and Greek culture and society.Ebers was a German Egyptologist who lived in the 19th century. He was a pioneer in the field of Egyptology and wrote many books and articles on the subject. His novel Homo Sum is one of his most famous works.
