Hooked On Hunting

Tonight I heard the wild goose cry Wingin north in the lonely sky.Tried to sleep it werent no use Cause I am a brother to the old wild gooseWhen I first read Don Millars Hooked on Hunting I was reminded of the avid hunter antagonist General Zaroff in Richard Connels famous short story The Most Dangerous Game. While Mr. Millar obviously does not take his passion for hunting to the same murderous extreme as does General Zaroff - of hunting even people for sport - Mr. Millar could I suspect empathize with the Generals feelings about hunting in general when Zaroff says to fellow hunting expert Sangor Rainsford.
