Experience the Gilded Age of Coaching in one weekend. This historic event unfolds amongst the grand Newport mansions as they provide a nostalgic backdrop for scenic drives on horse-drawn turnouts. What an honor it was to drive my English style coach and four beautiful grey Spanish horses at the most prestigious carriage driving event in the World - the Newport Coaching Weekend. The Preservation Society of Newport County offers the New York Coaching Club and other specially invited guests an opportunity every three years to drive their elegant large 3000-pound coaches on the streets of Newport Rhode Island.
