House of the Rising Sun

<p> By tomorrow everyone will know. It'll be the headline of the morning paper. There will be posters and signs warning people that monsters do exist. The worst part is it will be all my fault. The problem was I'd tried to be human. But I'm not.<br> At fourteen I was bitten and turned into a werewolf. The same night my parents were slaughtered. That was the last time I was in my hometown of New Orleans. Until today. I came home to check on an old friend and found myself in a dangerous situation face-to-face with the one who bit me. The Alpha of New Orleans.<br> The Alpha wanted me to join his pack. Because I was an Omega I had the ability to calm other wolves. And he wasn't taking no for an answer. He had plans to combine several packs to be able to start a war with the humans bringing werewolves into the light. So I had two options. Run and be free. Or stay and fight.<br> I had every intention of putting as much distance between me and him as possible but fate had other plans. Turns out it's hard to run away when you hear innocents getting killed. What if I was too late? What if the Alpha succeeded in starting a war setting a course that the world might not be ready for yet?</p>
