Household Fuel and Energy Use for Rural Development in Nepal

Availability efficiency price cost effectiveness culture and individual preferences play vital role in determining energy and fuel choices; not completely concerned with household income as proposed to energy ladder model. Biomass biogas charcoal micro hydropower and solar power are sustainable energy sources for rural household in Nepal. Promoting those local energy resources by effective energy policies and government subsidies can be benefitted all different groups of people residing in rural area.
