Household Stories from the Collection of the Brothers Grimm

Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm (1785-1863 and 1786-1859 respectively) known as the Brothers Grimm were German academics linguists cultural researchers and authors who together collected folklore. Among the most well-known storytellers of European folk tales the Grimms popularized such stories as Cinderella Sleeping Beauty The Frog Prince Hansel and Gretel Rapunzel Rumpelstiltskin Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood [here called Little Red Cap] -- all of which are inlcuded in Household Stories along with dozens of others. Also included are the original black & white interior illustrations from the 1886 British edition.
