His senior thesis a short story collection titled If You Dont Laugh You Cry was awarded the Henry W. Sams Award for Best Creative Thesis. 2018 also saw the world premiere of TARVA an original play he wrote and directed with Penn States No Refund Theatre for which he received the organizations Best Director Award.
