Stress and burnout are issues at the heart of the nursing profession. Our aim in this dissertation was to show how the management of psychosocial risks in the workplace promotes the organizational involvement of nursing staff. To achieve this we started from an interpretive paradox using only the inductive qualitative method. We used an interview guide to gather information. This enabled us to arrive at the following results: psychosocial risk factors are present in public hospitals and there is no effective prevention policy in place. As a result we were able to formulate the main recommendations: management should focus on the ongoing training of nursing staff and the effective establishment of an occupational physician.
