<p>For first-time parents those initial few months of parenthood can seem like your lives have been taken over completely by the tiny human you've brought into your home. Sometimes it feels like your bundle of joy has crowned themselves as your realm's new ruler and you're suddenly servants entrenched in a new regime but you didn't get a copy of the manifesto of nebulous laws and rigorous expectations. </p><p>Well the baby probably feels the same way.</p><p>But not to worry as you might guess from the surprisingly large number of people on this planet who have been willing to procreate more than once if both ruler and subject devote themselves to one another and try to maintain a modicum of patience empathy and humor fulfillment and maybe a little fun can be had by all. </p><p>This collection of one such baby's reflections on his first year of rulership may give new parents a comical perspective on what changes they might see within their own realm as their own new Overlord settles in.</p>
