About The Book
Description
Author

In this experimental essay-fiction hybrid writer C. Farr explores the life and death of Riffle Esq. Insurance Broker. Riffle's seaside holiday is destined to end in disaster when he attempts to swim around the end of the pier '500 feet in length and 60 feet wide midway at the bays'.

Riffle's wife meanwhile has left him for an Italian merchant seaman (and is now aboard a steamship bound for Leningrad). In telling Riffle's story Farr explores the key aspects of Virginia Woolf's revolutionary approach to writing fiction. Fittingly aspects of Farr's tale echo Woolf's own early tour de force The Mark on the Wall.

How To Write Like Mrs Woolf is No 6 in the Publisher's Choice series a collection of slim volumes selected by our publisher at the Cambridge Queer Press.
