Howards End

E.M. Forster's book Howards End is about social and familial relationships in early 20th-century England. Some people believe it to be Forster's finest work. It was the novel that established E.M. Forster as a significant author and was first published in 1910. The book which is set in Edwardian England is a portrayal of a vanished time before the First World War which would forever alter ideals and lives.Two families—the rich business-minded Wilcoxes and the educated idealistic Schlegels—make up its core. It depicts the tale of the idealistic Schlegel sisters and their tumultuous relationship with the selfish Wilcox family who will stop at nothing to get their hands on as much money as possible.
