HRD: A Study of Delhi University

The University of Delhi is a leading university of India and is known for its distinctiveness in teaching and academic accomplishments. It has grown over the years at present has 14 Faculties 90 Academic Departments 79 Colleges about 274000 students 6600 teachers and nearly 7000 non teaching employees. Since atmosphere of university is growing rapidly and dynamically the role of university administrators and their tasks are becoming more complex and demanding than ever. The existing teachers may not be suitable or willing to teach new areas of knowledge in different subjects. Now the problem is how to prepare and fit them into the re-structured curriculum.
