Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (??????) Level 1 test also known as HSK 1 requires mastering a mix of about 150 Chinese characters and words (??). These are some of most basic yet the most frequently used Chinese characters. The biggest challenges for the beginners' students of Mandarin Chinese would be to recognize these characters in the given contexts.
