Human Resource Development: An Integrated Model with Organizational Citizenship Behaviour

Human Resource Development has been given much attention due to the sheer realization that human resources are the most valuable assets and their development and wellbeing is necessary to achieve competitive advantage in the contemporary world of work discerned by faster globalization digitalization and technological advancements. It is also evident that the employee attitudes and behaviours still remain very important factors to examine in organizations because of their inherent nature to influence the overall efficiency and profitability of organizations. The integration of various HRD practices implemented by the organizations helps to create an environment which is conducive for the development of employee competencies and their wellbeing and in exchange employees are willing to ‘go to that extra mile’ and make significant and visible contribution to the organization’s performance.
