About The Book

India obtained independence from British rule in 1947 and higher education in India was largely under government control. However after the liberalization of the Indian economy private management started taking over but not without problems. However not much work has been done to develop a conceptual model from the whole body of past research evidence for the purpose of an empirical study of various interrelationships between the HR systems HRD climate and their individual and organizational outcome. This book fills the gap by focusing primarily on one such relationship between HRD climate and faculty outcomes in professional institutes. The study covers two main regions in northern and southern India namely Delhi/Haryana and Tamil Nadu respectively. The demographic oriented research outcome emanating from an in-depth analysis through the authors’ own conceptual model can impact further research and facilitate scholars policy makers and regulatory bodies concerned with higher education development in India.
