This edited book titled – Human Rights in Contemporary India: Issues Challenges and Way Forward looks afresh at the diverse issues related to human rights in contemporary India. Gautam Chandra Roy PhD from Gauhati University Guwahati is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at B. N. College (Autonomous) Dhubri Assam. His writings have been published in various journals including Economic & Political Weekly. His research interests include ethnicity subaltern identity tribal rights and borderland studies. Pankaj Bora PhD from Gauhati University Guwahati is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Bahona College Jorhat Assam. His research interests include livelihood security human rights sustainable development etc. He has research publications in many nationally and internationally acclaimed journals including Journal of the International Council for Small Business published by Routledge Taylor & Francis Group. He has also authored and edited a number of books of significant academic relevance. He has completed three UGC sponsored Minor Research Projects and currently received sponsorship from ICSSR for one Major Research Project. Juthika Das PhD from Gauhati University Guwahati is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Sapatgram College Dhubri Assam. Her research interests include political history gender studies human rights etc. She has published research works in many reputed journals including Economic & Political Weekly.
