Human Rights in India: A Study of Child Labour in Lock Industry

The problem of child labour in lock industries is not adequately addressed at local state and national level by the respective representatives. Child labourers are not aware about their rights and they are really in poor condition. They are doing their work in ridiculous conditions but poverty remains the main issue for doing work in lock industries. One of the greatest achievements of progressive democracies in the last century is to have recognized the rightful place of the child in the society fabric. Both in the International forum as well as Domestic policies positive actions for the child’s welfare are evidenced by way of various United Nations Conventions State legislation and judicial interpretations.
