With the burgeoning of information sources and the continuing diversification of formats finding the best information becomes increasingly difficult. This book offers professional researchers and students of library and information science a guide to approximately 1400 of the better sources of information. Blazek (Florida State U.) and Aversa (U. of Tennessee Knoxville) divide their sourcebook into individual sections on philosophy religion (including folklore and mythology) visual arts performing arts and language and literature. Two kinds of chapters sources and access are included within each discipline: sources provide descriptions of print and electronic reference tools arranged by topics and type while access chapters discuss where to retrieve information by listing important collections research centers and organizations.
