Humanization of critical child care

From the beginning of nursing practice as a fundamental part of care efforts have been made to offer humanized care which with the passage of time and technological advances has lost importance.The nursing professional within the hospital environment exercises the role of primary care. Their main functions are focused on performing techniques and procedures from a holistic view of the critically ill seeking the well-being of the patient and his or her environment. In order to offer good nursing care it is not only necessary to have adequate training but it is also essential to have the patient at the forefront trying to empathise establish a connection with both the child and his or her environment offering more personalised treatment and creating an atmosphere of trust through communication.
