<p>Strike is the sapient machine intelligence of the Human Collective frigate Thunderstrike. Via contacts in his illegal Special Investigations Unit Strike learns that President Jorrak may be attempting to resurrect his discredited Predatorbot Programme. The suspect operation is far away from the Central Worlds on Mwinyi.</p><p><br></p><p>A woman is kidnapping big cats on that planet. Strike suspects the woman is Merrill Vatan. But surely one of Nyla's sisters wouldn't have anything to do with the evil Predatorbot Programme. Would she?</p><p><br></p><p>Strike sends Snap and his captain Bahar down to the planet to find out.
