In this experimental investigation the performance and emission characteristics in dual fuel mode with hydrogen inducted along with air adopting carburetion technique are studied on a direct injection single cylinder four-stroke air-cooled stationary diesel engine coupled to an electric dynamometer. Results showed that the specific energy consumption reduces. The brake thermal efficiency and NOx increases compared to baseline diesel. Other emissions such as hydrocarbon carbon-di-oxide and carbon monoxide reduces compared to baseline diesel.
