Civil service administration in Nigeria under wartime could be very challenging. Several accounts may have been given. Sir Michael Monn has added some moments which may not have been captured before. Although his reflections were not not intended as any account of his stewardship they are significant contributions to the gaps in our Nation's history which are worthy of emulation. Our collective contributions in building a society that is progressive require people of goodwill. Our country must recognize and continue to cater for such men who almost laid down their lives for the better of our country. Our politicians must learn to redirect their thoughts to proper nation building and eschew the politics of tribal sentiments. Nigeria has a vast natural and human resources that require insightful constructive and visionary leadership. May God help Nigeria!
