I Have Come a Long Way

<p>Patricia Eyamba built a prosperous life in Nigeria. She started her career as a journalist steadily climbed the ranks at a global non-governmental organization (NGO) and even founded a successful international catering business. Despite them both being well into middle age she and her husband decided to give it all up so that their son would have a greater global perspective.</p><p><br></p><p>As new arrivals in Canada they soon realized that even in a country known for its diversity they were still going to struggle. Her family smiled too much and spoke too loudly. She couldn't find a job as easily as she thought and she didn't even know how to ride a bus. They may have been lioness and lion in Nigeria but in Canada they were like two kittens-vulnerable and in need of help.</p><p><br></p><p><em>I Have Come A Long Way </em>is a heartfelt and witty account of what it means to start all over again.
