I Think Therefore I Am ... (probably wrong)

<p>IT IS WHAT IT IS:</p><p>America is imploding and we are neither figuratively nor literally smart enough to fix it.</p><p>Not in our lifetimes!</p><p>We are not smart enough to keep our own lives in order.</p><p>We are incapable of fixing our race problem our immigration problem our sexual mores problem and the list goes on.</p><p>We are not smart enough to truly listen to each other compromise with each other nor learn to sufficiently co-exist with each other.</p><p>Whether Democrat or Republican we were not even smart enough to prevent the election of a Donald Trump to the Presidency of the United States. And we are certainly not smart enough to know why that election was not smart.</p><p><br></p><p>IT IS WHAT IT IS BECAUSE:</p><p>We are genetically incapable of being as smart as we 'need' to think we are.</p><p>We are not even smart enough to 'get' that we might have a problem. For most of us the problem is with the 'other' person who we are smart enough to know is really the 'stupid' one.</p><p>America itself was partially founded on a gene pool incapable of dealing with a reasoned rational reality.</p><p>We have allowed Religion to impede our evolution towards intelligence. We believe in our own personal interpretation and application of the Golden Rule and the Ten Commandments.</p><p>Our Tribe mentality has thwarted our evolution towards a morality predicated on a belief in the 'Greater Good'.</p><p><br></p><p>IT IS WHAT IT IS: ARE WE TOO SMART TO NOT BE SMART ENOUGH TO LISTEN? YOU THINK?</p>
