I Wish To Be Me

One night at bedtime Little Lee begins think about all the things and people he wishes to be other than himself. The book effectively shows the importance of self-love and self-acceptance encouraging children to embrace their true selves and appreciate the wonderful things they have. Lee thinks it would be great to be all these other things until he realizes that he would miss his dog miss his bed and so much more if he were not himself. He realizes he would also make his parents sad.
