Ibn Taymiyyah's Understanding of the Quran

<p>Ibn Taymiyyah has always been a subject of debate and hostility. His supporters saw him as a hero who fought against innovations and revived the Sunnah. His opponents saw him as someone who went astray and beyond the Sunnah. His <em>ijtihads </em>on some jurisprudential issues such as visiting graves and divorce attracted great attention and therefore he was subjected to heavy criticism.
