ICT USAGE AND TEACHER EFFECTIVENESS OF THE TEACHER EDUCATORS

The study ICT Usage and Teacher Effectiveness of the Teacher Educators by Sr. Jessie Conselia and Dr. M. Rajeshkumar examines the relationship between ICT usage and teacher effectiveness among teacher educators. It includes a literature review methodology data analysis and findings. The research employs a survey method with a sample of 200 teacher educators from Coimbatore Erode and Tirupur districts. Statistical techniques such as descriptive analysis differential analysis and correlation analysis are used. Key findings indicate a moderate level of ICT usage and teacher effectiveness with significant differences based on teaching experience but not gender qualification or institutional type. The study suggests training programs periodic evaluations and collaborative learning to enhance ICT integration. It concludes that while ICT usage is prevalent its direct impact on teacher effectiveness remains inconclusive necessitating further research on ICT's role in teacher development and student learning outcomes.
