If I Only Had a Heart

<p>Adrian an android with a faulty battery barely escapes dismantling at Shrike Valley Research. To his luck Craig Goodman the CEO decides to bring him home. He is to take care of Craig's wife Erika who is recovering after a miscarriage-a simple enough job for a state-of-the-art android. But Adrian has a secret: he is sentient. He has a heart. After getting to know the grieving and lonely Erika he can't help feeling compassion for his new owner. He confesses his deadly secret to Erika. She accepts his true nature and vows to protect his life even if it means risking everything she holds dear.</p><p>Caged together in their secrets Adrian and Erika's alliance becomes a close friendship and then deepens into something more. <em>But in a world where sentience is a crime and compassion is a risk feeling love is mortal danger.</em></p>
