About The Book

(i)I was in pursuit of deathNot because I loved it soNo it was for an answerI had sought long ago.It was to find the sourceOf Life Leisure and FancyAnd I knew that Death knew-Because he lives in all three!(ii)Man's deceiving destiny is unfurledWhile the heaven continues to pryAnd rejoicing for this unreal worldTo arrive uninvited - unlamented die! Then why should we of bliss dreamOr hear the notes of lyres sungWhen love and hate is but a teamWhich punishes our young. And thus do dreams overshadowEven the brightest star of our skyAnd earthly gains only flowTo revolt against those who try.(iii)Where Hope will harm and Fear indebtThe Living to remember but the Dead to forgetAnd Life should die and Death be bornWithin the waves of shameless scornThen mysteries of Grievance may be knownIn honor sworn but in courage shown.(iv)Within the bondage of our visionOnly what we wish to seeOr try to amend or evaluatePermeates the veil of obscurity. For we may not pass judgmentUpon those yet unbornNor on those who lived beforeTo inconsequentially adorn.
