Jeremy decides that it's time to renew contact. He hires Cameron and Carroll Investigators to locate his cousin Tom. The investigation leads their new detective Beth Phillips to Alberta's oil sands and a First Nation reserve. She finds herself in the middle of a conflict between environmental activists and the oil companies which makes her job extremely difficult and threatens her safety. Many twists and turns later the lives of those involved have been fundamentally changed.</span></p><p></p>
