Imogene's Marriage of Convenience

<p>What if I asked you to marry me? I own a ranch I have enough money to support all three of you and my house is more than big enough. Michael paused wincing as if just realising the full extent of his own words. What I mean is - we would be married in law only. I would not expect anything from you and we would simply share a house. A marriage of convenience if you will.<br>Imogene opened her mouth - to shout to order him to leave anything - but all that left her lips was a heavy sigh. If Michael was as genuine as he seemed it was a decent option. It was either that or let her children starve. With a sigh Imogene looked him in the eyes and muttered I suppose it's better than my other options. All right then.<br>They looked at each other for a long moment; her eyes dark and sombre his concerned but relieved. <br>The only thought that passed her mind was what have I just agreed to?</p>
