<p>On Anseris Imogen having a short hairstyle and wearing a chunky wristwatch would once have been serious crimes. With a false set of implanted memories she became Imogen reduced to Princess Anita's maid her aristocratic voice replaced by a broad lower-class country accent.<strong><em></em></strong></p><p>When she becomes Dame Imogen the Royal Goose-keeper and secretly regains her memories she finds herself on a quest-using the pseudonym Johanna. She must destroy Queen Kathyren to rescue her cousin and then become the reforming Queen Anseris desperately needs.<strong><em></em></strong></p><p>This novel is based on The Goose Girl a version of a folktale saved from obscurity by the Brothers Grimm. Once again retold for a new generation.</p>
