Impact of Events

Events are one of the most exciting and one of the fastest growing formsof tourism. The aim of this research is to determine the impact of localevents on the travel motivation of South German ski and snowboardinstructors.It outlines the existing literature about Events and Motivation and discussesthe existing research paradigm and data collecting methods.A hypothesis was worked out by the researcher and a questionnaire wassent to South German ski and snowboard instructors to examine theinfluence of events on the decision making process and to identify thechange of travel motivation by events.Addressed at ski-resort managers and at event organisers will this workof research help to identify the main reasons to travel to a ski-resort aswell as the importance of events in ski-resorts.
