About The Book

“The impact of international economic institutions and international economic laws on state sovereignty” is an attempt to discuss the international economic institutions and international economic laws which undermine sovereignty of nations. This work is divided into five Chapters. Chapter one provides an exposition of the concept of state sovereignty and its sources. Chapter two discusses the general principle of International Economic Law the later part of this section will address areas of International Economic Law dealing with Investment and Trade. It will further expatiate upon the Trade and Investment laws conflicting with laws of various sovereign States. Chapter three gives a detail discussion on sources of International Economic Laws such as; the WTO and the ILO it will further review the nature of the treaties of these organizations elaborating upon areas where these treaties conflict with National Laws. Instances where International Economic Laws prevail over the National Laws are shown. Additional discussion on other sources of International Economic Laws is explained in Chapter four. Chapter Five concludes the book.
