Impact of MDR bacterial strains in northern region of Bangladesh
English

About The Book

β-Lactam antibiotics are commonly used to treat bacterial infections. The groups of antibiotics in this category include penicillin’s cephalosporin’s carbapenems and monobactams. Increased use of antibiotics particularly the third generation of cephalosporin’s has been associated with the emergence of β-Lactamase mediated bacterial resistance which subsequently led to the development of ESBL producing bacteria. ESBL screening as a routine test has not yet been practiced in Bangladesh. The present study was undertaken to detect and analysis of these bacteria by different methods. MDR strain like NDM and MRSA become resistant on beta lactam antibiotic. Point mutation (TATACT to TATATT) occurs in the promoter region and palindrome occurs and bacteria become virulent. Finally we found mecA positive isolate.
