Impact of Organizational Culture upon Turnover Intention and Voluntary Employee Turnover:

About The Book

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Sri Lanka are important service sector organizations and they find difficulties in retaining qualified employees. The existing information on NGOs do not provide an accurate account of turnover intention and voluntary employee turnover of their employees. Furthermore the existing literature on above two antecedents with the impact of organizational culture have not considered to represent NGOs. Thus the purpose of the qualitative research is to critically evaluate the negative psychological outcomes of the influence of the organizational culture upon employees’ turnover intention and voluntary employee turnover in NGOs in Sri Lanka. Organizational culture has been considered under values norms and behavior/work practices in the developed conceptual research framework here. The impact of psychological outcomes due to organizational culture has been considered under employees’ perceptions on employees’ social and psychological aspects and employees’ behavior.
