Impact of Rubber Plantation on Economy and Environment

The book focuses mainly on the change in socio-economic life and the local environment after introducing Rubber Plantation. The people of Tripura India have been producing Rubber rapidly during the last three decades by ignoring environmental issues. Livelihood conditions have changed drastically after starting the Rubber plantations. The cash crop boosts the economy but degrades biodiversity. This book represents a small effort to highlight all the aspects of socio-economic conditions and environmental degradation.
