IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW PROTECTION SCHEME FOR INTERCONNECTED NETWORK

In the face of escalating climate change and the urgent need for sustainable energy solutions the integration of renewable energy sources into existing power grids has emerged as both a critical challenge and a trans-formative opportunity. This book aims to explore the intricate relationship between renewable energy integration and grid protection addressing the challenges and innovative solutions shaping the future of energy systems.This research work investigated how solar and wind renewable energy systems are impacted on the power system protection. PSCAD/EMTDC is used to create and simulate a low voltage distribution network and a medium voltage IEEE 9 BUS power network with and without renewable energy sources like wind and PV energy sources.As we embark on the journey toward a sustainable energy future it is imperative that we equip ourselves with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the complexities of renewable energy integration and grid protection. Together we can build a robust resilient and sustainable power system that meets today's needs while paving the way for future generations.
