Carmilla: Considered one of Le Fanus most famous works Carmilla is a Gothic novella that predates Bram Stokers Dracula. It tells the story of a young woman named Laura and her encounters with the seductive and vampiric Carmilla Karnstein. The narrative explores themes of love desire and the supernatural.
