In An Oubliette is a lyrical evocative meditation on the awful consequences of war. It is told in poems which sometimes describe real battlefields sometimes those of the heart. A story of many strands with voices from the Crusades the Napoleonic Wars the Second World War and other conflicts. Narrated by a cast of characters from across the ages some major figures from history others part of the common mass of humanity.
