In My Father's Shadow

Channeling the ideas and vision of her father architect and artist Hamidur Rahman In My Father's Shadow chronicles Hamidur's work and inspiration in designing the monument Shahid Minar which is known in Bangladesh as a symbol of hope. It additionally explores his work of oil paintings and how that inspired the author to keep that creative spirit alive in her own work in art and poetry. In My Father's Shadow serves to inspire all of us to use our unique vision to make tragedy into hope to take hurt into inspiration to take a dark world and make it a brighter place.
