In Praise of Thought

In Praise of Thought is Elizabeth Haddads debut collection of poetry. Troubled by an increasingly algorithmic world Haddad set out to examine our internet poetically by turning inward to the core of what it means to be alive. The poems are arranged as a stream of consciousness between the tangible and the virtual conjuring the most human parts of the self (memory rejection identity personal history fear) in attempt to combat the sense of loss that can occur in virtual existence (of autonomy privacy even reputation). In Praise of Thought is poetry in response to technology but more powerfully in praise of the human experience.With a stunning book design by Visnja Brdar unexpected color and undulating graphics will draw the reader through in hopes to inspire and question: What does it mean for you to be alive right now?
