IN SEARCH OF A BAUL WARBLER

<p>The principal object proposed in these Poems was to choose</p><p>incidents and situations from common life and to relate them</p><p>throughout as far as was possible in a selection of language</p><p>really used by common men.</p><p>&nbsp;Humble and rustic life was generally chosen because in that condition</p><p>&nbsp;the essential passions of the heart find a better soil in which they can</p><p>&nbsp;attain their maturity are less under restraint.</p><p>It has been found by many that poetry can act as medicine.</p><p>&nbsp;Dr Alak Pal&rsquo;s poetry does a better job in teaching</p><p>because it is about embracing the human aspect of suffering</p><p>not just knowing how many lymph nodes are positive and where</p><p>the pain is on a 1-to-10 scale. I know not Dr. Alak Pal worked</p><p>harder at being a poet or a physician but through his career</p><p>trajectory so far he excelled at both.</p>
