About The Book

The present study dealt with the evaluation of anti-influenza activity of metanolic extract of Tylophora indica (Burm. f.) Merr by wet and dry method .In vitro wet lab experiments shown promising results for methanolic extract of Tylophora indica. The physico-chemical analysis and HPTLC analysis were performed to determine the active principle of the extract. In silico studies was performed with the objective to identify the medicinal properties of important phyto compounds in Tylophora indica (Burm. f.) Merr by ADME/T and molecular docking. Four phytochemicals out of twenty compounds showed binding affinity more than Oseltamivir whereas only Tyloindicine G and Tyloindicine H showed binding affinity more than Zanamivir. It was seen that Tyloindicine H has Acute oral toxicity of class II which is not fit for oral consumption. To validate the obtained results of wet lab for anti-influenza activity of T. indica in silico analysis was performed successfully. From the comparative docking analysis it can be said that Tyloindicine G can be used as phytochemical drug against Influenza Strain A H3N2 in preliminary analysis. Further there is a requirement of in vivo animal study .
