<p class=ql-align-justify>I was a young girl wanting nothing more than to be loved. </p><p class=ql-align-justify>&nbsp;</p><p class=ql-align-justify>From an early age until I found recovery my voice was silent unless I was drunk and angry. I became violent. I became someone I hated but also someone who realized that I had the gift of being a woman. I used that to empower myself. After 20-plus years of addiction I wanted to change my life and do right by my children.</p><p class=ql-align-justify>&nbsp;</p><p class=ql-align-justify>The road to recovery was a winding one.
