While shadowing his mom at work a chance encounter with a dangerous demon leaves her gravely injured and Steven stranded. With the rising of the full moon all forms of travel between the realms of the afterlife have been cut off including any that might take Steven back home. Now every demon in New Orleans wants a piece of Steven's injured mother. He can't go to Heaven Purgatory or anywhere else while the full moon is up. He's stuck with an inexperienced reaper in a New Orleans full of dangerous spirits and a world with rules he doesn't understand.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>And worst of all? The thing that killed him isn't done with them yet.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>But maybe together they can find the courage to survive the night and face the demons who will stop at nothing to devour their souls before the next sunrise.</span></p>
